MONEL ALLOY K500 / ALLOY UNS N05500 / MONEL ALLOY WNR 2.4375
Monel K500 is a precipitation hardenable nickel alloy combined with corrosion resistence characteristic of Monel 400. It has the value added benefit of greater power and stiffness. These augmented assessts, hardness and strength are procured by tallying up titanium and aluminium to the nickel-copper base and by a thermal dispensation used to influence precipitation, classically entitled age hardening or aging.
It also has little penetrability and is to under -1 5PF (-101 T).Used for doctor blades and scrapers, pump shah, and value instruments, marine propeller shafts and trim fasteners. Product forms are wire, sheet, forging tube, round, hexagon, flats, plate and strip. Non-magnetic alloy, exceptional resistance to high speed marine water, resistant to sour-gas atmosphere, brilliant machine chattels from sub-zero temperatures to about 480C. Rust resistant in a wide-ranging range of marine and chemical environments, salts and alkalis and pure water to non-oxidizing mineral acids.
