Copper Alloy 70 / 30 is a copper-nickel alloy consist of 70% copper, 30% nickel alloy with additions of iron and manganese. It exhibits excellent resistance to corrosion and erosion. It is strong and ductile. 70 30 Cu Ni exhibits outstanding resistance to general and impingent attack by clean sea water. however, subject to bio-fouling at low velocities.
Cu-Ni 70 30 is majorly used in heat exchangers and unfired pressure vessels widely combined with high velocities and turbulence are serious problems. Copper-nickel 70/30 compounds can be welded utilizing covered metal circular segment welding, butt welding, binding and oxyacetylene welding forms.
