INCONEL ALLOY 718 / ALLOY UNS N07718 / INCOLOY ALLOY WNR 2.4668
Inconel Alloy 718, a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy compiled together to sustain a wide range of excessively corrosive environment, pitting and crevice corrosions. Alloy WNR 2.4668 At high and extreme temperatures, nickel alloy shows off its high-yield, tensile, and creep-rupture properties.
Inconel 718 stands out distinctively because of its unlike composition which has addition of niobium which licenses age hardening permitting galvanizing and soldering without impulsive toughening during heating and cooling. Highly resistant to chloride and sulfide stress corrosion cracking. Also resistant to post weld age cracking.
Used in chemical processing, aerospace and marine engineering, pollution control equipment and nuclear reactor. Standard product forms are round, flats, forging stock, extruded section, pipe, tube, plate, sheet, strip and wire.
